The snow leopard is an alter ego of Jonas Stampe, whose fusion of world music, avant-garde and electronica has brought him cult status on the experimental music scene. He was taught by the sitar guru Ravi Shankar, but in his playful music, traits of Steve Reich and Animal Collective are also given free rein.
